Thanksgiving was celebrated at my home this year. My father cooked the turkey, stuffing and gravy and I prepared the other sides. My plan for healthy eating really came together and the food was fabulous. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. We had Mr. PE, PE Teenager, PE Boy, myself, my parents, Mr. PE's parents and a friend of mine K whose children with with their father. I loved having her for the celebration.
I used various fall squashes and gourds in the silver basket in the middle of the table tied with a fall plaid ribbon. The peach and yellow roses came from Sam's Club and I put those in clear vases with fresh cranberries in the water. I made taller arrangements for the sideboard.
Each place setting had the napkin tied with gold ribbon and a turkey printable. In addition, each place had a small pumpkin and a chocolate turkey in cellophane tied with an orange ribbon.
The sideboard held our meal and included the watercress and endive salad, stuffing, squash, apple and pecan salad, the turkey, sweet potato casserole and the the green beans with fresh herbs. The whole wheat rolls, the gravy and cranberry raspberry relish were on the table.

I found some printable place cards that I could write the menu items on.
My pumpkin pie with pecan crust turned out well. It was delicious. I totally enjoyed my piece for 125 calories. Others enjoyed the mini Gigi's cupcakes and the chocolate covered pretzels.
I love entertaining so half the fun for me was putting together the table and the food presentation.

So lovely! I just giggled to myself while reading this post because I assume when you use "PE" you are abbreviating "Preppy Engineering" but today I read that post as every abbreviation being "Professional Engineer"
Everything looks lovely. I was wondering if you could have a holiday meal without GiGi's cupcakes for dessert. YUM!
It's just gorgeous, *and* delicious! You truly have fabulous hostess skills, on top of all your other talents. :)
Sending you a smile
